Loveblock New Zealand Wide Pairs

The New Zealand Wide Pairs has been associated with Babich Wines for very many years. Indeed, we often refer to it as “the Babich”. The event started in 1999 with Babich’s sponsorship starting in 2002 and continued until 2021, 20 years in total. Maybe you got to taste some of their wines.

Babich Wines have been a consistent sponsor providing the event with wine prizes. Babich have also supported some clubs and even the National Congress during that time. Thanks to them for their support.

As one era ends, so we hope another will begin. New Zealand Bridge has found another wine company to sponsor this event.

Welcome to the “Loveblock New Zealand Wide Pairs”. The 2022 event will take place on the evening of Friday November 11^th with its usual collection of wine prizes.

Loveblock Wines is an organically farmed Marlborough vineyard. Grapes are fertilised through homemade compost without the use of chemical herbicides, pesticides or fertilisers. Grapes are grown in accordance with Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand practices and are vegan friendly.

There is also a bridge connection with Sonia Crawford, the popular life member of the Matamata Bridge Club, being the mother of one of the owners of this family business.

As we have said for many years, support those organizations which support our game. Their wines are well worth trying…..and remember to take part in the event which provides valuable income for the New Zealand Bridge Foundation.
