Nelson On-line: Hamilton moves to Rotorua
This is to make sure that all interested players are aware of changes to two up-coming National events.
The National Swiss Pairs was to be held live at the Nelson Bridge Club over the weekend of June 18th/19th. There’s no date change but this event will be run on Real Bridge. It will be run by the Nelson Club, with a reduced entry fee of $45.00 per player. Any player who has paid the higher fee will have the difference refunded.
Start time will be 9.30 am on the Saturday morning. On-line entries will now be accepted until 5pm on Thursday 16th June. Further information will follow though all pairs who had entered should now have been advised of the change.
The National 15A Teams was to be held at the Hamilton Bridge Club over the weekend of 2nd and 3rd July. This event has been switched to the Rotorua Bridge Club, same dates. Again, further details will be available very soon. Start time will be 10.30am Saturday morning and Sunday play will finish by 3.30pm
No Change for North Island Teams which is still being held in New Plymouth over the weekend of 30th/31st July…start time 10.30am.
Changes at present have proved inevitable. On behalf of NZ Bridge, I hope that they do not spoil the most important factor, the enjoyment of the tournaments for all who participate.
