National Swiss Pairs Update: There WILL be bridge
With no government announcement yet as to whether Auckland will move to Level 1 for this coming weekend, the situation over the status of the event remains unclear.
What is clear is that there will be a 2- day 15A Swiss Pairs event this weekend at the Wellington Bridge Club.
If Auckland returns to Level 1, then Auckland players can play and the event will run as the National Swiss Pairs.
If Auckland remains at Level 2, then Auckland players will not be able to play and the event will run but not as a National event.
While this indecision or more exactly failure of the government to announce its decision is very frustrating, bridge players are by no means the only ones struggling with this uncertainty.
We know Wellington will turn on a great event for those able to play.
