This year has been like no other. At the start of the year, we looked forward to a year of club, tournament, and international bridge. Alas COVID-19 hit the world like a bombshell, resulting in economies being shut down, communities thrust in lockdowns, and curtailing of social and recreational activities.

As a community, New Zealand has bounced back with “normality” returning. We have a long way to go but for bridge lovers and fanatics how lucky we are. We are the envy of players all round the world that we can now play face to face. As bridge clubs close for the year the board and management wish to thank everyone for their support and patience as we have navigated through this challenging year. We especially want to thank all the volunteers who devote so much time to our game.
