Kiwi Success at Sydney Spring Nationals
Sydney’s annual mid- October Spring National events saw some excellent results for New Zealand based players. The Dick Cummings Open Pairs was won by Michael Whibley and his Australian partner, Phil Markey.
The TBIB Spring National Open Teams saw victory for Ella Pattison, along with Simon Hinge, Stephen Lester and Simon Hinge. In the final, they beat Auckland’s Brian Mace and Tom Jacob who were playing with locals Justin Williams and Johnno Newman.
Winners of the Linda Stern Women’s Teams were the all Kiwi team of Jenna and Christine Gibbons, Steph Jacob and Rebecca Johnston (nee Wood).
