Volunteer of The Month

Michelle England - Gisborne Bridge Club

Our Volunteer this month lives in Gisborne and has made a huge contribution to the club in recent years. The nomination for Michelle England has been made on behalf of the Club Committee by secretary Dawn Gretton:

"Gisborne Bridge Club would like to nominate Michelle England for recognition and acknowledgement.

Michelle’s contribution to the Gisborne Bridge Club has been invaluable for a number of years.  She has held the roles of club captain, treasurer, teacher, systems expert, mentor and all round administrator,  most of these roles concurrently. Michelle follows through with the new players mentoring them and making sure they have senior players to play with. She is a computer whizz and has been involved in refining the bridge scoring programme.

Michelle has represented our club on the Central Districts Regional Committee. She has amazing knowledge of the game of bridge as well all aspects of club management and carries out all roles selflessly with patience and expertise along with managing a busy law practice and bringing up teenage children.

Gisborne Club benefits hugely from having Michelle giving so generously of her time and energy and is delighted to nominate her as a very worthy “Volunteer of the Month”."

Is there someone at your club who should be nominated? If so, please suggest to a committee member so that person can be nominated. Not only is it a wonderful “thank you” to that person but the club should be able to get extra publicity by sending the write-up and photo to the local newspaper.
