New Zealand National Bridge Congress Update. What's New in Hamilton?
Saturday September 24th –Saturday October 1st 2016
Many have just returned from a glorious week at the Gold Coast Congress.
It seems months away until our own National Congress in Hamilton, seven at the time this was published. Watch out for all the information you will need about this year’s Congress on this website. That is different from past years when Congress had its own website.
Already, there is information in the Tournaments section about each Congress event. Click here or go to Tournaments (not Congress section at this stage), type “September” into the month space and select “New Zealand Bridge” in the region and all the Congress events will appear. You can then select and read about each of the events in turn.
We are currently testing other aspects including entering and paying for Congress. We will have them operating soon and will let you know when.
In the meantime, note some changes, apart from a different way of displaying on the website:
New hotel name. Distinction Hotel Hamilton. Same hotel: new name.
Free internet access throughout the hotel. A request from many players in the past.
Midday start time for NZ Pairs/Restricted Pairs on first Saturday. This means Saturday night off and everyone will be fresh for the Sunday play despite daylight saving kicking in.
No Intermediate/ Senior Packages but
One price for all 2 and another for all 3 session events. ($50 and $75 respectively).
New format for New Zealand Teams knock-out stages. Visit “New Zealand Teams” as indicated above and read all about it.
