Announcement re New Zealand International Teams

HONG KONG
The APBF bridge Championships start in two weeks  on 9th June. Our Open, Women and Mixed teams are all set to go - we wish them well. Following the Championships, all three teams will compete in the Zone 7 play-offs against Australia. This is a one day event which satisfies the WBF requirements to play at the World Champs in Morocco .Two teams from Zone 7 qualify - so if we lose - we still go! Last week we played the Seniors play-off, on-line,  resulting in a meritorious draw- 113 all.

The teams are:

Michael Whibley and Matthew Brown

MOROCCO
We are sending Open, Women and Mixed teams to the World Champs in Morocco on 20th Aug to Sept 2nd. Arrangements are well under-way, with many players taking the opportunity to do some extra travel while overseas.

There is a change in the Mixed team. The Fishers have withdrawn due to Liz having medical issues. They have been replaced by Jenny Millington and Barry Jones. We all wish Liz a full and speedy recovery.
