International
Bridge is more than just a game; it's a global community that brings together players from all corners of the world. We are proud to be part of this vibrant international scene, representing New Zealand in prestigious global competitions and fostering connections with bridge enthusiasts worldwide.
Our international teams compete in a variety of esteemed events, including the Bermuda Bowl, Venice Cup and the World Bridge Games. These tournaments not only showcase the highest level of bridge play but also highlight the spirit of camaraderie and sportsmanship that defines our game.
New Zealand is a member of Zone 7, the South Pacific Bridge Federation (SPBF), and we regularly participate in the Asia Pacific Bridge Federation (APBF) Championships. These events provide our players with invaluable experience and the opportunity to compete against some of the best in the world.
Support our Elite Players on the World Stage
New Zealand’s top bridge players have the skill, the dedication, and the drive to compete internationally—but getting there isn’t cheap. Unlike other countries where elite play is fully funded, our players have to fund most of their expenses out of their own pockets.
They need help and here’s the opportunity to help ensure bridge remains an inclusive sport where talent, not finances, determines success.
